What a Replacement Estimate Should Clarify
- Indoor and outdoor equipment model families, capacity, and efficiency ratings
- How system sizing was determined and whether load calculations or other measurements are needed
- Included thermostat, pad or stand, drain work, line-set work, electrical work, and code-related items
- Any duct repairs, return-air changes, permits, accessories, or disposal costs
- Manufacturer and labor warranty terms, registration responsibilities, and maintenance requirements
- What could change the final price after an on-site inspection

Paradice Air Conditioning offers financing through Synchrony for qualified buyers. Financing is subject to credit approval and the lender's current program terms. Approval, interest rate, promotional period, minimum payment, total payment amount, and available term are not guaranteed.
Before accepting an offer, ask for the disclosures and review:
- Annual percentage rate and whether it changes after a promotional period
- Whether interest is deferred and what happens if the balance is not paid by the deadline
- Minimum monthly payment versus the amount needed to pay off the balance within a promotion
- Fees, late-payment rules, and any prepayment restrictions
- Total amount financed and estimated total paid over the selected term
A lower monthly payment can come from a longer term and may increase total interest. Compare the full cost, not just the first payment.
Check Current Incentives Separately
CPS Energy may offer incentives for qualifying HVAC upgrades. Program availability, rebate amounts, equipment requirements, and customer eligibility can change. Participating-contractor rules and eligible installation dates can also change. Confirm the current rules on the official CPS Energy HVAC rebate page before treating an incentive as part of the budget.
Ask whether a quoted price assumes a rebate, tax benefit, manufacturer promotion, or financing approval. Those items should be identified separately so you understand what is guaranteed by the contractor and what depends on a third party.

Good, Better, and Best equipment options can be useful only when the installation scope is consistent and the differences are clear. Compare comfort features, efficiency, sound, controls, warranty, repairability, and total installed cost. The most expensive option is not automatically the right one, and the lowest equipment price can be misleading if needed installation work is omitted.
Questions to Ask Before You Sign
- What is the cash price and what is the financed amount?
- Which work, accessories, permits, and warranties are included?
- Could the scope change after work begins, and how would a change be approved?
- Who is the lender, and where are the full credit terms?
- Are any rebates or promotions included in the price, and who submits the paperwork?
- When is payment due, and what happens if equipment availability changes?
Use the estimate, lender disclosures, and current incentive rules together. That gives you a clearer basis for deciding whether to pay cash, finance part or all of the project, choose a different equipment option, or plan the replacement for a later date.
